EXECUTION STAY PROVES POWER OF PRAYER!

As I was writing this, the latest news says China has POSTPONED the execution of three of our countrymen who had been convicted of drug smuggling there.

Indeed, NOTHING is impossible with PRAYER.

Let us all continue praying until their death sentences or commuted, until they are permanently given a new lease on life while paying for their crime.

Nagkamali man sila, PILIPINO pa rin sila. Sama-sama rin nating batiiin ng CONGRATULATIONS si Vice-President Jojo Binay sa matagumpay niyang pakikipagusap sa Chinese Government para huwag matuloy ang pagbitay.

And most of all, let’s pray hard for the ERADICATION of illegal drugs and their pushers and manufacturers here in our country.

It’s a long shot, I admit. A very long shot that prayers alone may not be enough.  But if we will JOIN HANDS and work for it, God won’t let us down.

Consider these approaches, some of the strategies which I had included in a booklet on drugs and their effects on the user, that I had written several years ago:

We can start by FLOODING the police and all other law enforcement agencies with information on pushers and the sale of illegal drugs in our neighborhoods.

Yes, it’s a dangerous thing to do. But you don’t have to give your true name to anybody when you relay what you know.

Puwede ninyong padaanin sa e-mail sa Internet, sa pay phone o sa coin phone, sa text gamit ang ibang celphone or sim card, o kahit sa mga taga-media ang inyong impormasyon.

Or you can try organizing regular seminars in your villages on the evils of drug abuse.

Another effective strategy is regular meetings among parents on the illegal drug problem in their villages and an exchange of information on who are behind it and how can it be stopped.

Whatever you do, just remember one thing: Idrugs and drug pushers will NEVER DISAPPEAR if we won’t fight the, if we won’t make them disappear into thin air.

Don’t wait for your kids, your siblings or your loved ones to become drug users first before you act.

Still there is hope for our countrymen. Let's pray for them!

  1. Yes, indeed. The power of prayer is never assailable. But this remarkable performance by our mission to stay the execution of our OFWs, was also coupled with the persistence and diplomatic savvy of VP Jejomar C. Binay, who is a dyed-in-the-wool Alpha Phi Omega initiate.

  3. It looks like China has other motive on this.
