The claim by House Justice Committee chair Rep. Niel Tupas that an Iglesia ni Cristo official has started calling congressmen to kill the impeachment complaint against Ombudsman Merci Gutierrez is UNBELIEVABLE!
It’s ILLOGICAL because President Noynoy himself is very vocal about his wish to replace Gutierrez, who was appointed by his predecessor and perceived political arch enemy Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo or GMA.
As we all know, the Iglesia supported Noynoy during the presidential polls last year, AND NOT GMA’s candidate Gibo Teodoro.
The Iglesia has not yet declared a WITHDRAWAL of support for Noynoy. It has not even threatened to do so. Neither has there been a known EARTH-SHAKING denunciation by the Iglesia of Noynoy on any issue.
Simply put, there is NO BASIS, and no justifiable reason, for anyone in the Iglesia to support Merci.
Also, it is a known fact that major decisions like supporting a controversial person are made by the IGLESIA leadership, not by just one official alone. And that decision is relayed to ENTIRE FLOCK for compliance.
Now it’s INCREDIBLE because any religion or sect is AGAINST WRONGDOING, in any manner, shape or form.
Merci is being accused of various illegal and unethical offenses, all for the protection of GMA and her allies in graft cases and accusations they are facing from different accusers.
If the Iglesia will support Merci, not only will it support but also PROTECT GMA as well. And if you protect GMA, you suppress the supposed truth behind the allegations of fraud during her term as President.
I’m not an Iglesia member but a million to one, it will NEVER TOLERATE OR COVER-UP anything morally and legally QUESTIONABLE.
Tupas’ claim is just another DESPICABLE GIMMICK to condition the mind of the people to the approval of the impeachment complaint against Merci in the House, and that a contrary result is NOT the true will of the House of Representatives and should not be morally recognized.
I’ve said it before in an earlier blog and I’ll say it again. On with the impeachment. Stop the ‘pa-pogi’ in media now.

Survival and existence FIRST, livelihood and financial freedom LATER!

Every foreign worker should leave Libya on their own without hesitation. If they try to hang on because they want to make a living, money is nothing and gone forever if their life is gone. Then they just leave their loved ones behind in emotional and financial grief.

There is a war of all wars coming to the Middle East as (the book of) Revelations say. I agree that it is time to have your loved ones leave the Middle East and Libya. For one only has to look at the catastrophic changes occurring to the earth to see that we are at the precipice of our civilization. We will see changes that no one in prior civilizations has ever seen. .

Boyet, don't you think that call of yours is too late? Opportune time, they waste, opportune time to die by friendly and enemy fire, they welcome.

i agree. Ayaw nila umalis and if something bad happens to them, kasalanan ng gobyerno yon? Ayoko ng mga taong pinaglalaruan ang buhay nila pati na emosyon ng ibang tao. 30
I assume that these Filipino workers went to Libya to earn a living. They know the risk of working abroad even to the extent of gambling their lives. If they come home, what can this government provide for work? None! Perhaps, it's better for them to exercise their choice in the face of danger as long as they 'll continue earning. The danger is part of their gamble which they accepted before departing. Our gov't should however provide the support for those who volunter to come home.
