EXPLAIN FIRST WHY YOU'RE IGNORING THE SUPREME COURT!

The House Committee on Justice must first explain something IN DETAIL before they begin impeachment proceedings against Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez.

Why the hurry? Why can’t they wait for the final ruling by the Supreme Court on the motion for reconsideration by Gutierrez of the tribunal’s ‘go signal’ for the impeachment?

This is NOT IN DEFENSE of Gutierrez. If it’s already perfectly legal to impeach her, then be my guest. And do it fast.

Dapat lang ay NAAYON SA BATAS ang impeachment. Kung walang maibibigay na paliwanag ang committee, huwag tayong magulat kung ISA SA KANILA o kilalang kaalyado ng isa sa kanila,  ang susunod na Ombudsman.

I know for a fact that the Supreme Court is the FINAL JUDGE in all legal questions, not the House of Representatives.

But the House Committee on Justice has PRACTICALLY IGNORED the Supreme Court with their decision to being the impeachment of Gutierrez.

Worst, some members of the committee are using the issue for media mileage and grandstanding.

Tulad ni vice chairman at Ilocos Norte Rep. Rudy Farinas, na nagpahayag na agad na sasampahan niya rin ng impeachment ang mga Supreme Court justices na nagpa-delay sa kaso ni Gutierrez.

Without citing any hard evidence against the justices.

If the Supreme Court rules that the impeachment is illegal until they decide on Gutierrez’s motion for reconsideration, will the committee honor and abide by the ruling?

If they don’t, then we’ll have two final judges of the law, the committee and the Supreme Court.

Anuman ang kalabasan ng kaso ni Gutierrez, dapat IPANGAKO at SIGURADUHIN ng lahat, lalo na iyong mga nagreklamo laban kay Ombudsman, na IGAGALANG nila ang magiging desisyon, kahit na HINDI sila pabor dito.

Walang protesta, walang daldalan, walang pa-pogian sa media!
