RELIEVE DFA, DOLE PERSONNEL IN LIBYA!

Foreign Affairs and Labor department personnel assigned in Libya should be IMMEDIATELY RELIEVED over their handling of the evacuation of our kababayans there.

An audit of the funds for the welfare of overseas Filipino workers (OFW) should also be carried out at once.

It’s been weeks since the violence in Libya started but up to now, ONLY LESS THAN 1,000 of the estimated 26,000 countrymen we have there have made it back home.

Only when the violence escalated did our Foreign Affairs and Labor department guys start making repatriation arrangements, when TENS OF THOUSANDS are already jamming ports and airports and everything is in CHAOS.

I’m not saying that the panic button should have been pressed early on in the crisis.

My point is if only prior arrangements had been made with airline and shipping companies, our OFWs would have been FIRST PRIORITY on flights out of Libya.

And get this guys, we could not even get our kababayans out of Libya ON OUR OWN.

Media reports say our OFWs had to be helped out of Libya by their employers. Meaning, had their employers left them on their own, HORDES of our people would still be trapped there.

Imagine how big an INSULT is that for us.

Naturally, our government offices in Libya have their own budgets. WHERE IS IT?

EXCHANGE Rep. Ronald Singson for the drug mules to be executed in China.

I agree that he should be removed and expunged from office. He has surely disgraced the rest of his colleagues and most certainly, the Filipino people. 30
