INCLUDE KRIS AQUINO, ABS-CBN IN JAN-JAN PROBE!

Kris Aquino and ABS-CBN should be included in any and all investigations into child abuse.

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) for ABS-CBN and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) or the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) for Kris.

If Kris and ABS-CBN won’t be probed, then they have NO MORAL RIGHT to continue investigating or condemning “Willing Willie” for Jan-Jan’s macho dance.

The MTRCB, DSWD and CHR will be nothing more than PUPPETS of those who want Willie Revillame out of the television industry through any possible means.

Revillame’s camp has shown to the MTRCB videotapes of kids dancing in “'Going Bulilit” CLAD ONLY IN THEIR BRAS. They also had videotapes of four boys dressed only in diapers dancing and gyrating like Jan-Jan in “'Showtime.

Jan-Jan was fully clothed when he danced in “Willing Willie.”

Some friends of mine from showbiz  told me that most of the performers in “Going Bulilit” WORK for the program. WORKING  at that young age.

For Kris Aquino, she has been USING her baby James for both MONETARY and POLITICAL gain since God knows when.

Surely, we have all seen a commercial or two of Kris and James. And we still remember James when he mistakenly endorsed an opponent of his uncle Noynoy when Kris brought him to a campaign rally.

“Going Bulilit” performers and baby James have been working FOR MONTHS, or probably years, even though they’re CHILDREN JUST LIKE JAN-JAN.

If this is not CHILD ABUSE, WHAT IS IT?

The MTRCB, DSWD and CHR have NEVER CONDEMNED or INVESTIGATED all these. Unless they do, attacks on Jan-Jan and “Willing Willie” are nothing more than a DEMOLITION JOB.

Let’s see which will the heads of  these three agencies value more: HONOR AND FAIRNESS or LOYALTY AND JOB SECURITY.

PUBLIC BEING DECEIVED IN "WILLING WILLIE" CONTROVERSY!

I have just been informed by my blog manager of what appears to be a DELIBERATE and MALICIOUS DECEPTION of the public in the raging boy macho dancer controversy in “Willing Willie/”

And before I continue, let me EMPHASIZE outright that I am NOT WORKING for Willie Revillame or for Channel 5. Anybody can verify it anytime.

The immediate denunciation raised by children’s rights advocates was that the boy was forced to imitate a macho dancer gig, that he really didn’t want t and could only cry out in fear of reprisal if he refused.

But my blog manager saw the show in its entirety and noted the following:

The boy HIMSELF said he would dance when asked what his talent was, and that he was NOT ORDERED OR FORCED by Willie or any of the cast to do so.

The boy cried ONLY when Bonnel Balingit was introduced to him, and not because he was scared of what will be done to him by his parents or anybody else if he refused to dance.

The boy, therefore, did everything out of his own free will. He was not deceived or coerced and exploited into dancing.

But surprisingly, the video footage which was posted and spread like wildfire in the Internet ONLY SHOWED the boy crying while doing the macho dance.

Naturally, the immediate reaction of those who viewed the footage, especially the ones who MISSED the show altogether, was anger and child exploitation.

My point is ALL THE FACTS must be given equal exposure and recall as the controversy is investigated before the MTRCB, and the general public, draw up their own conclusions and decisions.

As of now, it’s only the image of the boy crying while dancing which is being played up in media and drilled deeply into the public mind.

A cheap MIND-CONDITIONING technique for a one-sided probe that will NEVER HAVE ANY CREDIBILITY. 30

PROVE THAT NO ONE'S UNTOUCHABLE, MS. HENARES!

If no one is untouchable as she claims, then BIR Commissioner Kim Henares should go after the BILLIONAIRES, especially the Chinese group or the taipans to prove it.

It’s PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE that SM tycoon Henry Sy, the Ayalas, Lucio Tan, the oil companies and the rest of the billionaires earn MILLIONS DAILY.

Henares had better start revealing publicly the TAXES paid by the billionaires for PUBLIC SCRUTINY. She must CATEGORICALLY declare if the correct amount had been paid and prove it.

If not, she had better be ready with AIR-TIGHT steps she is taking to collect from the billionaires and how long will take her to do so.

Since Henares took over the BIR, we have yet to hear OF EVEN ONE case filed against, or even a DETAILED breakdown of the taxes paid by, the billionaires as against their known multi-billion assets.

Taxes paid by some celebrities like Manny Pacquiao are revealed to media. But those paid by the billionaires, NEVER. The big question, WHY?

So except for the BIR’s word, we have NO ASSURANCE that the billionaires are not cheating on their tax payments. We will never know whether or not the billionaires are paying only five or 10 percent of their total liabilities AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT.

Unless we get the chance to prove it ourselves.

As the Aquino Administration often says, if there is nothing to hide, then there should be no problem in revealing anything.

Put  your money where your mouth is, Ms. Henares.

Your judgment is correct, Boyet. Why do critics, and even Madam Dinky (Soliman, DSWD secretary), single out “Willing Willie?” I do not see any abusive act by  Willie. Wiling-wili lang siya sa self confidence na ipinakita ng bata. To curtail the rights of children like Janjan in “Willing Willie” and other related shows is unfair.

ABOLISH THE INUTILE DOE!

Since it’s TOTALLY INUTILE against oil and power firms and costs, the Department of Energy (DOE) had better be ABOLISHED!

Instead of continuously receiving huge budgets and other monies from our taxes, the DOE had just better close shop and FORMALIZE its being the DEFENDER of oil price and power rate increases.

That’s what it does, anyway.  Justify the increases with every possible reason they can find. They think we’re IDIOTS and SUCKERS who will IMMEDIATELY SWALLOW anything they say, even if it borders on STUPIDITY.

Just last Wednesday, the DOE again turned Nostradamus by warning that oil price could FURTHER RISE. INSTEAD of leading efforts to pressure oil firms to justify their price hikes.

The DOE cited conflicts in oil producing countries increased consumption of fuel in China, improvement in the US economy and fuel demand uncertainties for rehabilitation efforts in Japan as among the factors that could raise prices.

I’m not an oil-industry guy but I will dare say BULLSHIT to all these.

What has increased consumption in China got to do with oil prices here in our country?  WE DON’T BUY our oil from China. Our own consumption has not skyrocketed. There is no oil shortage.

We don’t buy our oil from Japan either.  Our oil supplies are not taken from whatever allocation or quota it has from oil-producing countries. Neither are we involved in Japan’s rehab efforts.

If the US economy is improving, it’s their economy, not ours! It’s them who will require more oil, not us. So if oil prices must go up. It should only be for them, NOT US.

Prices have been rising almost weekly. But oil firms DON’T BUY THEIR STOCKS WEEKLY.

The oil firms HAVE NOT DISCLOSED any MORALLY-CONVINCING justification to raise prices weekly. And the DOE HAS NOT SHOWN any serious effort to find out either.

The DOE even GLADLY ECHOES the justification of the oil firms, rising prices in the world market. Even if it’s  supposed to be for the people, and sky-high oil prices are pushing us DEEPER AND DEEPER INTO POVERTY.

Why should we continue SQUANDERING our taxes for the continued DEFENSE of the DOE of the oil companies?

MERALCO POWER RATE HIKE MUST BE INVESTIGATED!

The power rate increase this month announced by Meralco warrants a THOROUGH investigation by all concerned government agencies, as well as the Senate and the House of Representatives.

A probe not just of Meralco but of several other firms.

Meralco said actual costs of electricity from the wholesale electricity spot market (WESM) and independent power producers (IPPs)—had gone down.

But WESM operator Philippine Electricity Market Corp. made some billing adjustments in Meralco for costs incurred by ‘must-run units’ in May 2010.

So what and where are these ‘must-run’ units? Who are the owners? How much were the expenses and for what? Where are the papers to prove that there was no overpricing? Who authorized it and when?

If the expenses were incurred in 2010, why is the PEMC charging it only now?

It’s already Lent but we’re still enjoying cold weather, especially at nights.  Power consumption for electric fans and airconditioners have surely gone down. So why has power cost at WESM MORE THAN DOUBLED to P9.64 per kWh FROM ONLY P4.28 per kWh last month? What is the basis and who authorized it?

Meralco admitted that IPP rates had gone down by 2.4 centavos per kWh. Then, why did the National Power Corp. (Napocor) raise the cost of its power by 1 centavo per kWh.?

What is SO SPECIAL about their electricity that they have to raise the cost even if others have reduced theirs? Is the increase legal? Where will the money go?

And remember, guys, IPPs are privately-owned. Napocor is state-owned. So in effect, instead of making life easier for us, it’s the Government which is making it more difficult for us to SURVIVE.

Theoretically, it would seem that the Ombudsman would lose its constitutional independence if the Office of the President has the power to terminate prosecutors moto propio without the concurrence and ratification of the Office of the Ombudsman. Thus, the need for the Supreme Court to clarify the width and breadth of the constitutional independence of the Ombudsman and its Office.

IS ANYBODY IN GOV'T GETTING COMMISSIONS FROM OIL FIRMS?

With oil prices set for another increase, I can’t help but ask now: Is ANYBODY EARNING in any way from the AVALANCHE of profits the oil companies are making?

The oil companies are SLOWOLY KILLING US by BLEEDING OUR POCKETS DRY to a crisp and NOBODY in Government or among our lawmakers GIVES A DAMN!

NO SENATOR OR CONGRESSMAN has ever led an ACTUAL and LONG-TERM probe of the non-stop increases in oil prices.  Countless senators and congressmen have called for an audit or an investigation, yes. But was EVEN ONE EVER CONDUCTED?

One as lengthy and in-depth as the ongoing Senate investigation into anomalies in the military. I don’t recall one, IN ANY ADMINISTRATION. I will gladly correct myself if I’m wrong.

For the Government, no president has ever consistently called, or  expressed SERIOUS CONSIDERATION, for the REPEAL of the Oil Deregulation Law.

The Department of Energy (DOE), in any Administration since its creation, has NEVER conducted even A SINGLE PUBLIC hearing or investigation into the reasons being given by oil firms to raise prices.

Neither did the DOE make a consistent demand to the oil firms to open their books to justify their INSATIABLE LUST FOR MONEY, nor  conducted any serious move to achieve this.

There have been instances in the past wherein the DOE  blamed the Oil Deregulation Law for its helplessness in controlling oil prices. But never did it call for the repeal, or review, of the law.

What the DOE has CONSISTENTLY DONE, with FLYING COLORS, is to be the DEFENDER of the oil firms by pointing to rising prices in the world market as the culprit.

As I‘ve written before, oil firms can raise prices anytime and no one in Government, the Senate or the House of Representatives would mind.

But if it’s the masa who will ask for means to survive the OBSESSION for money of the oil firms, a thousand and one  hearings or processes have to be conducted before it’s considered for action.

Don’t tell me guys that let’s wait for the oil companies to starve us and our families first before we GET TOGETHER, and act as one.

EXTREME ARROGANCE OF THE OFFICE OF THE OMBUDSMAN!

The Ombudsman’s immediate defiance of President Aquino’s dismissal of its deputy is nothing short of EXTREME ARROGANCE.

Without even first filing for an appeal, Assistant Ombudsman Jose de Jesus said their office is ignoring the order on the ground that IT’S ONLY THEM who can discipline their officials, and that Gonzales had been cleared of any wrongdoing.

So as far the Ombudsman is concerned, their above ANYONE and ANYTHING, including THE LAW. They’re UNTOUCHABLES in their own right. It’s ONLY THEM who knows what’s right or wrong in their turf.

If that isn’t ARROGANCE to the max, then we need a NEW WORD in the dictionary.

If that’s the case, then anyone in the Ombudsman can engage in graft and corrupt practices and still remain free by simply conniving with everyone else in the office.

Think about these, guys:

The law is VERY CLEAR – the President can hire and fire officials and employees of the Office of the Ombudsman. It’s the Ombudsman who can be removed only by impeachment.

Gonzales was dismissed because it took him nine months to resolve the case of the Luneta bus hostage taker instead of just days as regulations require.

No less than Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, himself an acknowledged top-notch lawyer, described the delay as suspicious.
And the Ombudsman would not even give a credible defense to all these.

AN OVERHAUL of the law creating the Office of the Ombudsman is in order. With their defense of Gonzales, WE HAVE NO ASSURANCE that NO IRREGULARITIES are taking place in their chambers.

If that’s how the Ombudsman thinks, then it had better GET OUT of the country and establish its own kingdom somewhere else in the world. The NORTH or SOUTH POLE maybe.
