PACQUIAO AS PNOY'S ENDORSER!

Pnoy’s Administration must be really desperate and panicking to regaiin public support.

They’ve now turned to boxing legend Manny Pacquiao as unofficial endorser of the Aquino Government through the yellow gloves he will wear today in his fight against Shane Mosley in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Why do I say so?

Pacquiao had announced he will wear yellow gloves today to symbolize Filipino unity in the fight against poverty.

But whoever said yellow symbolizes Filipino unity versus poverty? What law? What rule? We all know that yellow is identified to only ONE FAMILY in the entire country, the Aquinos starting with the late former President Cory, Pnoy’s mom.

Pacquiao’s decision to wear yellow gloves comes at a time when the Aquino Administration’s popularity is on a CONTINUOUS DECLINE. As far as I know, he never wore yellow gloves in his previous fights.

But apart from newspaper reports saying Pnoy is praying for Pacquiao’s victory, Deputy Presidential spokesperson Abegail Valte is asking the people to wear yellow today as a sign of unity and support.

Even though none of us will be watching the fight live at Nevada. Let me give you two possible explanations for this.

First, they want to make Pacquiao en endorser of the Government. They want him to ask his legions of fans not to lose trust in Pnoy and the Aquino Administration to prevent another drop in the ratings.

Or Pnoy’s boys will take pictures and video footages of seas of yellow which they hope to find today in as many areas as possible. Then, they will come out with these in media claiming that the people are united, not just behind Pacquiao but also the Government, proof that they’re recovering Pnoy’s popularity.

A DISGUSTING and PATHETIC propaganda gimmick. Anybody corfrect me if I’m wrong and I assure you I’ll immediately come out with it.

I sure hope Pacquiapo is not a willing participant in this amateurish propaganda scheme., and that he won’t allow himself to be used and exploited by the incompetents in Pnoy’s  government.

WHAT IF BIN LADEN''S DEMONS ATTACK DURING PACQUIAO'S FIGHT?

Military officials had better elaborate, fast, on their declaration to allow up to 10,000 soldiers to watch live at three key Armed Forces headquarters Rep. Manny Pacquiao’s fight tomorrow with Shane Mosley.

Especially on the exact READINESS of these soldiers to respond to terrorist attacks by Osama Bin Laden’s boys at A MOMENT’S NOTICE.

Otherwise, they had better identify now who must be blamed in case of trouble or, hopefully not, a bloodbath. And don’t go out of your homes during the bout, boys and girls.

Al Qaeda itself has CONFIRMED THE DEATH of Bin Laden. It has vowed revenge on the US, and its allies, of which the Philippines is one.

So what if Bin Laden’s minions do ATTACK, especially at the HEIGHT OF THE BOUT? Far, and I mean kilometers away, from the venues of the fight telecast – Camp Aguinaldo, the Army headquarters in Tagig and the Navy headquarters along Roxas Blvd?

What if Bin Laden’s men strike at Malabon or Navotas, which are some 10 kilometers away from the Navy headquarters and farther away  from Camp Aguinaldo and the Army home in Tagig?

Or at Southmall in Las Pinas which is more than 10 kilometers away from all three installations?

Armed Forces officials had better assure us, with DETAILS and not just with words, HOW FAST can our soldiers and sailors RESPOND  to any mayhem.

It’s common sense that bad guys strike at targets WITH THE LEAST number of soldiers or policemen, at a time when they are focused on something else and at areas least expected to be attacked.

The Rizal Day bombing of an LRT train in Manila years ago fits all these three criteria. Think about it.

II’m not belittling the significance of Pacquiao’s fight. I’m one with the entire country in wishing him a quick, decisive victory. What I can’t accept is PUBLIC SAFETY is taking a backseat, even for a few hours, to his continued quest for riches and glory.

Anyway you look at it, 10,000 soldiers and sailors are 10,000 soldiers and sailors, a MONSTER relief for demons out for chaos and a big kill.

Our safety is MUCH, MUCH MORE IMPORTANT than Pacquiao. IT SHOULD ALWAYS BE.  30

HENARES WILL FURTHER PULL DOWN PNOY'S RATINGS! (PLS DISREGARD THE FIRST POST)

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Kim Henares will further pull down the ratings of President Noynoy if she won’t be fair enough in going after possible tax evaders.

And in the process, she will increase the popularity of, and draw PUBLIC SYMPATHY to, the Opposition, especially former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (GMA) and her family.

Henares’ partiality and utilization as an attack dog of the Aquino Administration I s simply TOO VULGAR to ignore.

With full media coverage, she conveniently revealed that the BIR has started looking into the statement of assets and liabilities and networth (SALN) of GMA’s youngest child Camarines Rep. Dato Arroyo.

Henares claimed there’s nothing personal and that the BIR is looking into other congressmen. But when I saw her on TV being asked for names by a TV reporter, she readily said she can’t reveal any.

She can do it with Dato but she  can’t  identify the others, even though they’re all congressmen and the only difference is he’s the son of Noynoy’s political enemy.

If this isn’t being GROSSLY UNJUST and UNFAIR, we need new words in the dictionary and the thesaurus.

I later learned that Bulacan Rep. Lulubelle (I hope I got the first name right) Villarica, an LP partymate of Noynoy, is also being eyed for possible tax evasion and was ONCE named in media.

But JUST ONCE. No fanfare, no lengthy  newspaper or TV interviews  on her, no nothing.  Unlike Dato, and his older brother Mikey who had been accused of tax evasion.

Anybody correct me if I’m wrong. That’s not fairness. That’s a PATHETIC and DESPERATE balancing act, or cosmetic relief.

I’m not trying to defend Dato. I don’t work for him and anybody can verify that anytime. The man himself said he’s ready for any probe. I’m just stating the facts.

I’m raising this issue because WE ARE THE BIG LOSERS in the despicable and non-stop politicking  of the Aquino Administration.

Why? They use every possible agency of Government to go after the Arroyos and the rest of their perceived political foes. But IT’S OUR TAXES, and NOT THEIR OWN MONEY, which pays for the salaries and expenses of these agencies.

And most of all, this politicking HAS LED THE COUNTRY NOWHERE, as in.

Has the quality of life improved since Noynoy became president? C’mon, guys, answer me. HONESTLY.

IT'S FINAL: WILLIE REVILLAME WINS!

Now it can be said with finality:  Willie Revillame has won the fight.

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) DID NOT CANCEL his “Willing Willie” as his detractors had desperately wanted.

The MTRCB ONLY SUSPENDED the show for a month, retroactive at that to April 11 instead of a fresh new month.

This means the MTRCB did not find any solid ground, legal or otherwise, to pull “Willing Willie” off the air permanently, despite the FULL-SCALE assault by Revillame’s detractors in media and in the Internet to demonize him.

The suspension validated Willie’s consistent stand that the show had not done anything grievously wrong to warrant his sudden and permanent exit from the television industry.

Once TV 5 starts airing “Willing Willie” again, it will be the SWEETEST TRUIMPH and RETURN that Revillame will ever have.

He and TV 5 were up against OVERWHELMING forces, people who wanted him out of television for good. But the powers that be will let him stay, and kep his show.

His legions of fans remain loyal.  So one can just imagine the  yearning they have been having for him, and the excitement that will overcome the once he returns with the show.

A hundred to one, Willie’s fans will be more loyal than ever to him.

They will gladly be the volunteer defenders and endorsers of  “Willing Willie,” especially to the skeptics or neutrals who have never been fans of the show.

In other words, everything that has transpired will only make Willie more popular than ever.

Everybody’s free to keep on evaluating the show and to continue criticizing f they have to. In fact, it would be a good thing to do to help uplift the quality of television programs.

Just one point: Let every critique or attack be FAIR AND SQAURE, as in.

Six of our friends on “Lacierda’s incompetence, or hypocrisy”:

MA. JENNAH MITRA of Quezon City

The honeymoon period will soon end. With all the problems the P-Noy administration is facing right now, his lack of decisiveness is causing the decrease in his popularity. This administration cannot forever center its attention in curbing corruption. They should be well-rounded because good governance is not all about eradication of corruption. They should also address the other needs of the people, especially our economy. P-Noy should realize it NOW !

MANNIX FORTZ of Seattle, Washington, USA

Boyet, I think Lacierda includes Noynoy's support to the highly-divisive and controversial RH Bill in the administration's efforts on many fronts. Yes, people recognize it but didn't find it good or noteworthy,  and are therefore dissatisfied. Check the unfavorable comments about him in the "I Oppose the RH Bill" page in FB which has registered more than 16,000 people. Really pathetic.

RAUL BELTRAN of Nasugbu, Batangas

Amen to this, Yetbo!

OBED DELA CRUZ of Marikina City

Although I am not 100% in favor of the Aquino administration, the news I only liked is when the Palace reported that there is a big budgetary surplus. This came in with the report that the Philippines became the second most stable economy in South East Asia, However, looking at these reports I think that the administration has a long way to go for these "reports" to be felt by the masses. Yes, more Filipinos need to be satisfied by reality, not just of what they say.

LACIERDA'S INCOMPETENCE, OR HYPOCRISY.

This is either gross incompetence or hypocrisy or both.

The latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey shows that except in Metro Manila, net public satisfaction with the Aquino Administration dropped by 18 big points, from 64 in September and November to 46 in March, in the rest of Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.

Reacting to the survey, presidential spokesman  Edwin Lacierda said the people recognized the administration’s efforts on many "fronts,'' including curbing criminality and addressing national problems.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND what you’re saying, Mr. Lacierda? Are you with us, IN THIS WORLD?

When one says something is recognized, that means the people looking at it find it good or noteworthy and majority of them are satisfied.

But the survey, Mr. Lacierda, clearly shows that the administration’s net satisfaction rating fell by 8 points in the Visayas from 59 to 51; by 20 points in Mindanao from 67 to 47; and by 27 points in Luzon from 69 to 42.

The only area where you guys posted an increase is in Metro Manila. But that increase is a PATHETIC ONE POINT, from 49 to 50. So how can you still have the stomach to say that the people recognize the Aquino Administration’s efforts in many fronts?

You even dared to say, Mr. Lacierda, that as the President's programs for keeping transport costs down, improving the efficiency of agriculture, attracting investments and providing jobs further expand, the public will be reassured.

Can you please cite EVEN ONE, DETAILED effort? Please.

Jeepney and bus fares have gone up, and are still set to go up, along with MRT and LRT tickets.

Oil firms posted the MOST NUMBER of price increases in just months under YOUR ADMINISTRATION, and you people are NOT DOING ANYTHING, as in NOTHING, to control or MINIMIZE THEIR GREED.

Your administration is even LAWYERING for the oil firms by JUSTIFYING almost all of their price hikes.

In agriculture, you have spent BILLIONS of pesos in importing rice purportedly to help ensure we won’t run out of stocks.

But NEVER has it been reported that you’ve also extended billions to farmers for modern machineries and equipment, seeds, credit lines and other things that can help them increase their harvests.

Providing jobs? It’s public knowledge, Mr. Lacierda, that a number of companies, including multi-nationals like Nescafe and Kimberly Clark, have either closed shop, left the country or drastically reduced operations due to our EXCESSIVELY HIGH power rates.

Businessmen themselves say our power is among THE HIGHEST in Asia.

Have you people done anything about this? Are you doing anything to reduce and keep electricity costs low, and minimize the greed of Meralco and independent power producers (IPP)?

I have yet to read or hear of any report of your government having done anything to reduce and keep power costs low, like a no-holds barred probe of Meralco, Napocor and the IPPs.

You and your tribe, Mr. Lacierda, or even your supporters, can correct me anytime if Im wrong. I’ll gladly come out with it ASAP.

Otherwise, DON’T EVEN DREAM of pulling our leg, sir, because you can’t. GET REAL, and SPARE US! Or GET LOST! 30

COME OUT WITH PHOTOS OF BIN LADEN'S BOYS, NOW!

Since retaliatory attacks by Al-Qaeda members is the prevailing fear following the death of its leader Osama Bin Laden,  the police and the  military had better start showing us the  face of these demons.

We can never fight or protect ourselves against faceless disciples of Hell.

As I had proposed in an earlier blog on car thieves, the authorities had better start distributing pictures of known Al-Qaeda leaders and members still at large.

These photos must be posted or installed in busy and strategic areas like malls, airports and piers, college and high school campuses, town and city halls and LRT and MRT train coaches and stations (we all remember the Rizal Day bombing of an LRT train several years ago, don’t we).

Newspapers and radio and TV stations must do their share by repeatedly coming out with these photos for free as often as possible.

The authorities and computer or information technology groups and experts can team up to spread the photos of Bin Laden’s boys on the Internet as fast and as extensive as possible,

Remember, it’s public knowledge that Bin Laden’s fanatics are scattered in various countries all over the world.

It’s been done a lot of times before so there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be repeated again, considering that public safety is the top priority and the targets are as evil as Lucifer and his boys.

At the height of the notoriety of the Abu Sayyaf Group, we repeatedly saw the photos of its slain leaders Abubakar Janjalani and Abu Sabaya.

Photos of their remaining comrades, as well as those of the country’s most wanted, are still on the walls of police stations and military camps and nationwide.

So if it can be done in these places, why not in other public facilities and installations nationwide?

When I first proposed this in my blog on car thieves, a few friends commented something to the effect that it would violate the presumption of innocence.

To this, I say:  Innocence or guilt is determined in court.

In fairness to the police and the military, they’re looking for terrorists and criminals because there’s a basis for it, like complaints, eyewitness accounts or confirmed intelligence reports.

They just didn’t pick out any photo from somewhere and instantly  tagged the subject as a terrorist or criminal.

Better to find them first before more innoncent people die or get hurt in future senseless acts of bloodshed.

To those who will stick to the contrary, I hope you’ll be the first to explain your view to the families of those who will die or get wounded and disabled in the next bombing or other terroristic acts. 30
