DRUG MULE PROBE MUST START NOW!

If the government is serious about investigating illegal drug mules or couriers and illegal drug smuggling, it can start right away even without the House of Representatives or the Senate.

How? First, RELIEVE ALL IMMIGRATION personnel and BAGGAGE SCANNERS at all airports, especially those who have been at their posts for more than two years.

Illegal drugs may be hidden in various ways in a courier’s luggage but the bottom line is they still get through because some baggage scanners are in connivance with them.

Second, records must be checked as to who were the baggage scanners and immigration people on duty when the three convicted drug couriers in China left the country.

They must be asked to explain, IN WRITING, and subjected to a THOROUGH LIFESTYLE CHECK.

Third, all x-ray machines must be examined right away to see if they  are scanning luggage properly and effectively. If not, why is it still being used and who allowed the defective machines to continue functioning.

The inspection must include trained dogs and every other drug-detection equipment possible. It must be done publicly and with FULL MEDIA COVERAGE for transparency.

Fifth, closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras must be increased and roaming inspectors must be deployed against suspicious or superficial examination of luggage and passengers.

These measures are rather basic. Those who have NOTHING TO FEAR would not mind any or all of these steps to curb drug smuggling.

Four of our friends on “Execution stay proves power of prayer”:

Senior Reporter MANNY MOGATO of the international news agency Reuters:

The power of prayer forced China to postpone the execution, the very first time and a precedent-setting action.

CAS NAVARRO of Colorado, USA:

Yes, indeed. The power of prayer is never assailable. But this remarkable performance by our mission to stay the execution was also coupled with the persistence and diplomatic savvy of VP Jejomar Binay, who is a dyed-in-the-wool Alpha Phi Omega initiate.

VENUS AMORANTO of Binan, Laguna:

I hope that this will serve as a lesson to all Filipinos. Maybe because this is one easy way of making money.

MANUEL RUTA

There is no factual basis for that. Before World War II, people prayed hard to stop wars. But World War II happened and millions of people died. It is just accidental that the Filipinos were saved for a while. If tomorrow they are hanged, then people will say: where is the power of prayers? In Hindu, what will be, will be

EXECUTION STAY PROVES POWER OF PRAYER!

As I was writing this, the latest news says China has POSTPONED the execution of three of our countrymen who had been convicted of drug smuggling there.

Indeed, NOTHING is impossible with PRAYER.

Let us all continue praying until their death sentences or commuted, until they are permanently given a new lease on life while paying for their crime.

Nagkamali man sila, PILIPINO pa rin sila.

And most of all, let’s pray hard for the ERADICATION of illegal drugs and their pushers and manufacturers here in our country.

It’s a long shot, I admit. A very long shot that prayers alone may not be enough.  But if we will JOIN HANDS and work for it, God won’t let us down.

Consider these approaches, some of the strategies which I had included in a booklet on drugs and their effects on the user, that I had written several years ago:

We can start by FLOODING the police and all other law enforcement agencies with information on pushers and the sale of illegal drugs in our neighborhoods.

Yes, it’s a dangerous thing to do. But you don’t have to give your true name to anybody when you relay what you know.

Or you can try organizing regular seminars in your villages on the evils of drug abuse.

Another effective strategy is regular meetings among parents on the illegal drug problem in their villages and an exchange of information on who are behind it and how can it be stopped.

Whatever you do, just remember one thing: Idrugs and drug pushers will NEVER DISAPPEAR if we won’t fight the, if we won’t make them disappear into thin air.

Don’t wait for your kids, your siblings or your loved ones to become drug users first before you act.

CHINA EXECUTIONS' MESSAGE FOR DRUG ADDICTS!

There is a message for drug addicts in the looming executions of three Filipino couriers of illegal drugs in China.

DRUG PUSHERS WON’T SAVE YOU once you get into trouble with their merchandise. Be it with the family, your sweetheart, school, at work or anywhere else.

THEY WON’T assist you in any of your needs – financial, legal no nothing. They won’t give a damn even if you DIE.

SO STOP using illegal drugs, AT ONCE.

Turn yourselves in for rehabilitation immediately. Confess to your parents. If money will be the problem, ask for assistance from your relatives, friends, or even your mayor or congressman.

SAVE yourself, and help wipe out pushers. How can you? Simple. There are pushers because there are addicts like you.

Think hard, really hard, about it. For your own sake.

And as you do, join the rest of the nation in praying for the commutation of the death sentence of the three drug couriers in China before their executions Monday and Tuesday.

They deserve to be punished, yes. But they were just forced to do it, out of need. They don’t own the drugs they carried. And most of all, they’re still Filipinos.

Three of our followers on “Another Publicity Stunt by Lacson”:

CASIANO NAVARRO of Coloardo, USA:

That slimy, bitchy fox in Lacson has never really left him. I can't foresee the time when, finally, we will be gifted with the luxury of putting away his kind of greed. As far as I am concerned, the sane and decent among Filipinos do not deserve a Ping Lacson. His rightful place is in jail.

A friend of mine from Makati who asked not to be named:

I can see clearly the plan of this government: Bail out the anarchist and the ‘berdugo’ with one mission -- PIN DOWN THE FORMER FIRST COUPLE and shoot down several birds with just one stone.

ANOTHER PUBLICITY STUNT BY LACSON!

The way I see it, Sen. Ping Lacson’s expose of multi-million peso  excess funds for the PNP director-general is nothing more than a CHEAP PUBLICITY or ‘PA-POGI’ gimmick.

Even if he says he did not avail of it.

Lacson DID NOT SAY in his expose that he ordered an investigation into the LEGALITY of both the SOURCE and the PROCESSING of the funds when he was the PNP chief.

HINDI NIYA PINAHINTO ang pondo. Kaya unang tanong, BAKIT? Ngayon, gusto niyang imbestigahan din ito. Pangalawang tanong, ANO ANG MOTIBO NIYA?

Lacson’s justification that he directed the PNP comptroller to treat the money as part and parcel of the general fund for personnel welfare and other operational activities is IRRELEVANT.

The point is was the money CLEAN or not.

Lacson apparently did not bother to find out based on his expose, even if he was in a position to find out then as PNP chief.

Take note, Lacson did not order the return of the excess funds to whoever or whatever the source is.

He just had it diverted t the general fund.

You think Mr. Lacson will accept responsibility if that will be the scenario? A million to one, NO WAY!

To top it all, guys, there’s NO GUARANTEE that Lacson did not avail of the excess funds even if it was for his disposal alone as PNP chief. All we have is his word, and those of his former comptroller now Antipolo Rep. Romeo Acop

He did not cite any physical proof that he has to prove his claims.

I’m not saying that Lacson’s allegation should not be investigated. By all means, probe whoever or whatever has to be probed. Just one thing: Tell me that you’re not taking Lacson’s word as gospel truth, guys. Please tell me that you’re not suckers (utu-uto).

All so sudden, the ANARCHIST is out of jail! Bewildered, but clear in his mind that he has a score to settle with Reyes et al. The ANARCHIST told himself that NOW, THE TIME FOR VENGEANCE IS HERE. The rest is history. On the China-Taiwan tug-o-war, these  incompetent PH officials should first learn to be firm on whether or not to uphold a one-China policy, lest it gets dragged into the domestic squabbles between and among those economically and militarily superior economies than ours. PH must never allow itself to be bullied by any nation, no matter how mighty.

FAMILIES OF OFWs IN TAIWAN, READ THIS!

Families of overseas Filipino workers (OFW) in Taiwan, read this!

Better start asking the Government: Is the country ready to provide IIMMEDIATE jobs or livelihood in case our 100,000 or so OFWs are kicked out from Taiwan due to our deportation of 14 suspected Taiwanese criminals to China.

If I were you, I’d start visiting or writing the Labor department and the Overrseas Workers’ Welfare Administration (OWWA).

I’d also find out how much and what kind of assistance, cash or in kind, is available and how fast can this be availed of by your loved ones.

With the reasons being given by Justice Sec. Leila de Lima for the deportation, I see a very high risk of our OFWs taking the brunt of the anger of the Taiwanese.

Two newspapers reported today that the Taiwanese also presented their entry permits, which indicated their nationality, into the Philippines. So if passports and entry permits are not proofs of identity, what the hell do you call them?

De Lima said it was the Chinese Government which presented proper and recognized documents in their request for the deportation of the Taiwanese to China. But she did not say what the documents were.

Don’t tell me, Secretary, that the Chinese Government also had passports and proof of residence of the Taiwanese in China.

De Lima said even though the Court of Appeals (CA) had directed the Bureau of Immigration to produce six of the Taiwanese, last Feb. 2, there was no restraining order so the deportation that same day was not a violation of the court order.

The point is, around 100,000 of our OFWs, and their dependents, are now in danger of losing their source of livelihood just because of the QUESTIONABLE deportation, which dared DEFY even a court order.

And 100 is to 1, it will take a MIRACLE for De Lima to assume responsibility in a worst case scenario.

COUNCILOR LULU PRINCIPE of Los Banos, Laguna on “Abusado, Sinungaling si Trillanes:”

I have consistently watched the live coverage of the Senate hearings and I am proud to have voted for Sen. Trillianes. If not for the hearings, people wouldn't know that (the) bulk of our money, and even those being shared with the Philippines by the United Nations, has been siphoned off by a select group of powerful people. The testimonies of Ms. Mendoza, Col. Rabusa, Lim and Querubin are strong enough to understand the issue at hand.

LEAH SALVADOR of Imus, Cavite on “Burden of Proof Now on Trillanes Part 1:”

Trillanes would be like a dog, "all bark and no bite," if he fails to subject himself to a thorough investigation and undergo procedures in proving his accusations. How convenient for some people to point fingers and destroy other people's reputations. Talk about injustice. That is simply unfair to people being accused who, under the law, are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

NON ALQUITRAN, Philippine Star Senior Reporter, on “Burden of Proof Now on Trillanes Part 2”:

BURDEN OF PROOF NOW ON TRILLANES! PART 2

A faster way to find out if Carlos Garcia had indeed revealed his supposed coddler to Sen. Antonio Trillanes is to ask the plunder suspect himself.

In public and with full media coverage, so that the people will see and hear it first-hand, without any risk of misinformation.

Garcia must be made to swear under oath before he is asked about his supposed protector.

Not just the name but, as I’ve written earlier in Part 1, but the time, date and exact place where he supposedly confessed to Trillanes and what exactly did he tell the future senator.

This will be INTERESTING, guys, because if Garcia will claim he has forgotten his supposed revelation to Trillanes, partially or totally. It’s the senator who will be DESTROYED.

Believe me, Trillanes will move Heaven and Earth A MILLION TIMES if he has to prevent this from happening.

And if Garcia gives a different name other than Reyes, then Trillanes had better have a whale of an explanation on why he named the late former Armed Forces chief.

Better yet, Garcia and Trillanes must be subjected to a lie-detector test in public if the plunder suspect pinpoints another person as his padrino.

Congratulations to Bulacan 3rd District Congressman Jonjon Mendoza for initiating a first-in-history congressional investigation into the illegal marble mining at Biak-na-Bato park in San Miguel town.

The illegal mining had been in operation for some 40 years until it was stopped recently but my good friend Cecil Yacob told me there was never a full-blown congressional probe about it.

Keep up the good work, sir. The country needs guys like you, hindi ningas-kugon lamang.

MA. JENNAH MITRA of Quezon City
Hindi kaya ang deal ni P-Noy at ni Trillianes when Trillianes was released from imprisonment was to expose the anomalies at the AFP? Because after his release, parang bolang apoy na naglabasan and mga testigo. (Plunder suspect Carlos) Garcia was on the hot seat but the true target was the previous administration. In their hope to get the BIG FISH, they fried first Sec. Reyes, hoping he will talk. But if they do not have enough evidence, everything they are doing is useless.

BURDEN OF PROOF NOW ON TRILLANES! PART 1

The BURDEN OF PROOF is now on Sen. Antonio Trillanes.

Trillanes had earlier claimed that he had disclosed the identity of the person behind plunder suspect Carlos Garcia, as purportedly revealed by the latter himself, to Malacanang.

But Malacanang has just DENIED that President Aquino had met with Trillanes on Armed Forces anomalies or the supposed involvement of Angelo Reyes in it.

Paano ngayon yan, senator? Paano mo ipaliliwanag yan?

Remember, guys, Trillanes had specifically pointed to Reyes – first as the person behind Garcia and later on, as one of the principals behind the plunder suspect.

Considering the sensitivity of the issue, it’s but natural for anyone to expect that Trillaes would tell all only to President Noynoy.

But if the senator will say that he had indeed relayed the information to Malacanang other than Aquino, he must reveal TO WHOM immediately and the circumstances behind it.

In the interest of FAIR PLAY and TRANSPARENCY.

There should be no problem for Trillanes to reveal these facts immediately if he had indeed made any disclosure to somebody in Malacanang.

Whoever Trillanes will point to must be cross examined, IN PUBLIC and UNDER OATH, before the Senate. And he must not object to this.

But if he will not name anybody or reveal anything, then that will be a totally different story. If he will say he needs to gather more evidence, then why did he immediately fry Reyes in the Senate, to the point of INSULTING the man by saying he had no reputation to protect, on the mere statement of George Rabusa?

Trillanes will have a VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM OF CREDIBILITY. His handlers had better realize this fast, for his own sake.
