TIME TO ASK WHAT AQUINO GOV'T HAS DONE FOR US!

It’s just a few weeks before the Aquino Administration’s first year in office but they seem to be more busy in filing cases left and right rather than coming up with solutions to the nation’s major problems.

I’m not saying that they should stop filing cases. But as they do so for whatever purpose, we had better start asking what has been done for us ordinary mortals.

Let’s start with infrastructure.

Pnoy cited dilapidated roads when he was campaigning for the presidency last year.

So, has any road or busy thoroughfare been repaired or rehabilitated? Even one or two? What about new roads to ease traffic and shorten travel time to industrial or key residential areas?

The only new road that I know of under the current Administration is the completion of the Skyway extension to Alabang, Muntinlupa City. But remember, this wasn’t started under Pnoy.

Anybody who can enlighten me on these points is most welcome. Just be sure you’ll have specifics or details.

Pnoy had also cited poorly stocked public health facilities like hospitals during the campaign. But let me ask you, boys and girls: have you read or heard of any multi-million peso infusion of medicines and/or equipment to even one public hospital?

Or even one multi-million peso repair or rehabilitation of any hospital for the poor, like the Philippine General Hospital or the hospital for kids along E. Rodriguez Blvd in Quezon City (I just can’t recall the exact name)?

If you have, tell me about it. Please. For the only massive, health-related expenditure I’ve read and heard of so far under the Aquino Administration is for condoms and other birth-control stuff.

The budgets of several public health facilities and programs have even been reduced.

In agriculture, HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF PESOS have been spent, and allocated, for rice importations. Question: Is there a similar budget, or even credit line, for farmers to help them buy modern equipment, more seeds and other needs to help them increase their harvest?

I don’t know of any. If you do, again please tell me the details, guys.

These are just some of our major problems. I’ll have more in our upcoming blogs.

Clear as water!

I can't really understand why this terrorist group is given more media mileage. Who benefits from this? Hope media will stop making this group popular. This group is irrelevant and people are tired of them.

JULIAN RABAGO of Cavite City

They are a misguided group of people. Leaders can use ideology or religion to thwart their minds and make them blind followers. Kahit dito sa atin uso yan. 30

  4. What has the Aquino Government done for us? Nothing, nada, nil. What I know are: oil prices have gone up so many times that I lost count already; his net worth going up by 50plusM; his new flashy cars, and the girls he goes out with. Talk about priorities....
