'DOUBLE TALK' PNOY STYLE!

QUESTION OF THE DAY:

Despite his resignation, must resigned prisons chief Ernesto Diokno stil, be investigated?

***

President Aquino has shown a shining example of ‘double-talk’ and cast doubts on the integrity of the resignation of Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director Ernesto Diokno.

In announcing his acceptance of Diokno’s resignation, Pnoy said any administrative case against the ex Bucor head has become moot and academic.

But take note, boys and girls: IT’S NOT PNOY who had investigated the Leviste caper at Munti, and recommended administrative sanctions against Diokno. It’s a panel from the Department of Justice (DOJ0 who had recommended that Diokno is administratively liable.

Delicadeza and common sense, therefore, dictates that it’s the DOJ who should make the announcement on what happens to the recommendation. But Pnoy HIMSELF MADE THE RULING with his announcement of what should happen now to Diokno.

In case you missed it in the news, Pnoy talked about, and decided on administrative liabilities of Diokno, just hours after the DOK submitted the recommendation to him.

So if we ordinary mortals start looking at Pnoy’s acceptance of the resignation as HIS PERSONAL INTERVENTION to spare the former Bucor boss from any liability, SHAME on anybody who would cry foul.

Pnoy also said criticisms that he was soft on his friends in government were baseless.

There’s a very simple way to prove if he means it: ALLOW the administrative sanctions against Diokno to roll.

Pnoy added that only the interest of the people shall guide his Administration in his decisions, and not association or friendship.

Then why didn’t he even order an investigation into claims several months ago that his SHOOTING BUDDY, Interior and Local Governments Undersecretary Rico Puno, was receiving jueteng bribes?

Puno being a government official, it was in the people’s interest to determine if he indeed was raking in jueteng money or not.

Believe me, guys, I ache for a milder term than ‘double talk’.

Three of our friends on “DepEd Sec. Luistro must explain this”:

MARIA LILIBETH BENOSA

Does Luistro really know and understand the plight of the underprivileged kids? He's been around with the richest kids in the PH @ DLSU (De La Salle University).

SUSAN CARO of Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Sana ang ilagay nila sa bawat sangay ng gobyerno ay yung talagang nararapat sa puwesto tulad ng DepEd Secretary. Dapat dito ay post- graduate ng education major in management at yung may puso sa mga in and out-of-school youth. Sana ay icontinue ang free education in public schools and free school materials for the poor children.

ARSENIO ANTONIO of Schöneberg, Berlin, Germany

These people have a lot to explain… explain here, explain there and still can get out of it.. Where is the true justice in our country?

Endangered specie ang mga katutubo sa Pinas. May Indigenous knowledge, beliefs and pratcices sila sa RH. Hindi magastos,. They just rely on nature and the natural way.

CESAR CARINO of Bauan, Batangas

Personally, what I like about the RH Bill is that it collects the awareness, interest, and consciousness of the people regarding reproduction per se into a solid focus.

Huwag maganak kung hindi kayang buhayin at huwag nang isama sa hirap ang magiging anak. They don’t deserve it...contraceptives is the answer. Be realistic.

Eleven of our friends on “Cabinet revamp a publicity stunt” :

DANILO PACOMIO of Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Can we perform an ethnic cleansing in his cabinet? Walang kaibi-kaibigan, walang kama kamag-anak, walang drinking buddies, walang kabulshitan. Exterminar a todos los funcionarios incompetentes, el gobierno inĂștil as in Exterminate all incompetent, useless government officials.

LEMWEL SOLIMAN of Gumaca, Quezon:

One of the requirements for a Cabinet overhaul is to check the capabilities of each member. There is an obvious reality that this admin appoints a person not based on track record but on his personal relation with the Chief Executive. Of course, the past admins were also into that system during their time.

JUNIQUE MITRA of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

What separates the competent from the not? Abolish the appointment system. Put in place a system where the most competent and dignified would qualify.

BING SALVADOR of Quezon City

Pnoy has the right to revamp his Cabinet ..some of his men and women are not even familiar with their positions. They are either his allies or his "ka partido". Reshufffling the Cabinet might help by putting" the right people in the right time and in the right place". A hit and miss tactic is totally a disadvantage for all of us.

NESTOR PATNUGOT of Davao City

Better change the type of government we have. Pero, mananalo ba kayo kung tumakbo kayo?

ESTHER UY-OCO of Oceanside, California

Walang daang matuwid. Pag eleksiyon lang yun, di ba nyo alam?

VENUS MONES AMORANTO of Binan, Laguna

Keep it up!

NIQUEKY LAU

You're right BA, such attitude should not be tolerated. Deleted dapat agad. In whatever issue or concern, our stand must always be sensible.

FREEDOM MADERAZON of Pasig City

Cabinet revamp has nothing to help this administration with unless there is a clear program.

JAMWORLD MIKE

Let’s wait for the revamp.

ROMULUS BELTRAN of Quezon City

Here in the Philippines, a Cabinet revamp is merely a re-positioning of …
