POLITICAL DISASTER FOR GOV. VI!

To those who keep on insulting and cursing me, including one who has just made a CHILDISH THREAT, for my blogs on Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos Recto and the fish kill that struck the province, thank you for KEEPING ME MOTIVATED to pursue the issue as far as I could.

As I’ve said in my preceding blog, I’ll play this game of yours, FOR AS LONG AS YOU WANT us to.

Now, read this!

Whether you realize it or not, YOUR CONTINUED REFUSAL, and those of concerned officials, to answer my queries on the owners of illegal fish pen owners is leading your beloved governor to POLITICAL DISASTER!

The ILLEGALITY of some fish pens HAS NOT BEEN DENIED by anyone.

One of you even wrote to me, and I came out with it in a previous blog, that a 90-day grace period given to illegal fish pen owners was about to expire when the fish kill struck.

Which brings me down to just four questions: WHO are these illegal fish pen OWNERS? WHY CAN’T, OR WON’T, anybody name them? Were charges ever filed against them? What makes them UNSTOPPABLE?

NO ONE has given a reply to all these.

Anything ILLEGAL is UNLAWFUL. Anything unlawful must be STOPPED at once. To stop anything unlawful, those behind it must be identified. But you people WON’T DO THAT. In effect whether you admit it or not, you are PROTECTING THESE LAWBREAKERS, initially from the public eye.

Here are quotes from two of your legions and the names they gave:

JEFFREY TEODORO: To hell with you. Salamat ka at civilized pa ako sa mga sagot ko or else nabasa mo ang di dapat mabasa na below the belt. Bakit mo ba pinipilit na malaman ang mga pangalan ng mga businessmen who own those illegal fish cages?. (Sino tinatakot mo sa akala mo?)

MARLENE PASCUAL

You want the names of the illegal fish pen owners to be revealed so badly, then why don't you do it yourself? You make it sound so easy (I’m starting to try that, believe me)

If you people will say that Gov. Vi, or the provincial government for that matter is helpless, the national offices of key government agencies can help like the DENR, BIR, PNP and NBI.

But whoever it will be, they can only help if they’ll know WHO TO RUN AFTER.

If illegal fish pen owners will remain anonymous, it will be an issue against your governor in the 2013 polls. Gov. Vi may be enjoying immense popularity now, yes, but once Batanguenos get tired of illegal fish pens, A SOLUTION will be more important for them than one’s popularity.

And don’t tell me your fellow Batanguenos will never get tired.

Even if I’m not form Batangas, I’ll bet a thousand to one that NOT ALL BATANGUENOS DEPEND on illegal fish pens for their LIVELIHOOD, and that the popularity your governor enjoys now IS NOT 100 PERCENT.

And before I forget, ask whoever that Sanchez is to thank you guys for the FREE INTERNET PUBLICITY your giving him or her by repeatedly mentioning the name in your comments as my employer.

I don’t work for anybody in this issue. Verify it, now.

Sometimes the naked truth is just that - naked. We must not be racists. "Mga Intsik na negosyante" is an affront to all the Chinese here. There may be Chinese involved, but surely a Filipino is in cahoots. Let the office of primary responsibility get the "ball rolling" to unearth every angle of the fish kill.

It's about time bigyan ng leksiyon ang mga Intsik na negosyante (sa illegal fish pens). Hindi sila ang masusunod. Ang masusunod, ang gobyerno,

MARLENE DAMOLO HOWE of Tacoma, Washinton, USA

I've read before that the governor was in the crusade of abolishing illegal fish pens. Why it thrives, I can only blame the local residents who allowed themselves to be used by unscrupulous businessmen. But because Gov. VI is the head of the province, the blame ultimately falls on her. It's saddening because it's hard to monitor every citizen if the person does not want to do the right thing in the first place. It's like a cat and mouse game!

Ikaw ba alam mo?

    Ang galing mo naman unggoy.

  7. The popularity of Governor Vilma is a given reality and not the issue. And the same manner with Taal Volcano and Taal Lake.

    The real issue of fishkill in Taal Lake is good governance system at the Municipal and Provincial Governments of Batangas. The fishkill is a simple manifestation and validation of many factors such as but not limited to:
    1) Gross leadership negligence among the local leaders of Batangas;
    2) Presence of culture of greediness by allowing beyond the principle and the reality of carrying capacity of Taal Lake and also allowing the Chinese nationals who are also greedy and wicked;
    3) Abusive use of Taal Lake as finite resource without any rest every seven years;
    4) Lack of good and strong leadership as regards to the implementation of the regulatory guidelines and functions based on the principle of carrying capacity;
    5)Lack of good system of monitoring about the environmental conditions of Taal Lake like water quality based on dissolved oxygen content;
    6)Lack of culture of discipline and culture of excellence among the people in the affected area;
    7) The Batangas factor of culture of arrogance (Yabang Culture) as indicated by "knowing all attitude by leaders of Batangas";
    8)Presence of survival and poverty mindset among the leaders and people of the affected communities, which reinforces the culture of corruption;
    9) Lack of appropriate knowledge and technical expertise about the ecological system of Taal lake among the local leaders of the affected area;
    10) Dominance of reactive leadership system, and not proactive leadership system being operational among the local leaders of Batangas resulting to the creation of more alibis, excuses and blaming system (culture of palusot);
    11)Weak or not empowered citizenry of the affected communities of Batangas, thus with strong presence of dependency culture and passive communities, allowing themselves to be dominated by the culture of patronage politics and based on popularity, and not based on leadership competency;and
    12)The lack of master plan for all the Taal Lake areas, thus lacking also with shared strategic directions like the unifying vision, development directions and guiding principles enriching the key stakeholders of Taal Lake.

    Those twelve factors are the combined dominant forces manifesting and reflecting with the "fishkill issue and problem in Taal Lake.

    Remember, Batanguenos are not the owners of Taal Lake. Intead, they are just co-stewards of that god-given resources. Your core mandate is rule the Taal Lake, and not the Taal Lake is ruling you due to fishkill.

    God bless Batangas and God bless Philippines!

  8. Let us all moved on.Ganun pa ang dapat. Nakapako ka na lang sa isyung fish kill because you're enjoying an instant popularity at the expense of the Vilmanians and Governor Vilma Santos.

  9. Mr. Blogger Nemesio Antonio Jr. , You said you're not a Batangueno so you don't really know what's going on in Batangas since you don't live there to actually see and experience it first hand. Everything you claimed you know, you just heard or read only. It's just like the Willing Willie Jan Jan episode, you were commenting based on what your Blog Manager told you and not because you watched it yourself or was there at the studio when it happened. That's not right!

  10. You said the national offices of key government agencies can help like the DENR, BIR, PNP and NBI. So if it's that easy go ahead and do it and I'm sure Gov. Vi will appreciate your help. She can't do it by herself, Gov. Vi needs people's cooperation... Teamwork.

  14. the blogger is entitled to ask for the list of fish pen operators. it is his right. he established this blog precisely to promote good governance through transparency. to all vilmanians please refrain from insulting him. it is not right.

  15. The blogger wants the names and the illegal fish cages to go ASAP that these can be done in a snap. I suggest the blogger to do it himself not wasting his time with all words but not action. The leaders need help to be successful. Blogger, I'm sure Gov. Vi will be grateful if you can help her out with action not words alone. The Good governor might even give you a plague of appreciation for lending her a hand.

  18. Political disaster? That's what they thought during the past election....end result? Panalo pa rin...take note, boyet. Actions speak louder than words..and for you who's never there to witness her hands- on involvement in Batangas, no loss at all....ako na taga-Batangas at nakikinabang sa mabuti nyang pamamalakad sa aming probinsya at ganun din ng mga kababayan ko...itaga mo sa bato that if she runs or higher office sya ang iboboto namin at itaga mo rin sa bato that she will surely win not because she is the Queen of Philippine Cinema but because of her excellent track record... Do your own research up close and personal, Nonoy..Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto is a gift for all of us from HEAVEN..kaya nga ba nakakarma ang mga sumisira sa kanyng pagkatao eh dahil puro kasinungalingan. Ala eh, kundi talo ang mga fabricators and propagandists ay tumitigok..not that I wish for such. Gov. Vi has always been a silent worker...so they say, you don't have to let your left hand know what your right hand does...and she's also a silent donor at magtanong ka kay Rosa Rosal.......political disaster pala hah...we'll see who has the last laugh, half-wit.

  20. Did you do your homework before blabbering? Instead of looking for flaws, just do your job as a concerned citizen of our country...complaining nor bickering will lead you nowhere..The lady governor is painstakingly doing her job to clean up the mess...she can't be in several places at one time and has other programs and projects to deal with..currently, she has flood victims to take care of too..so, maybe you can use your blogspot to ask for aids, instead of making up a worse scenario...our country, in general, needs the help of its citizens...we can not just rely on the government officials..they're not superhumans and they're not immortals either.. We just have to be grateful if they go out there to see and feel the pulses of their constituents and extend their help the best way they can...others are just there for the financial aspect of it sitting on their butts and are never visible to their constituents..may God bless, Gov. Vi and give her the strength to carry out all her good plans for Batangas..we need more public servants like her...Reader's Digest did their survey a few months ago and Gov. Vi was chosen one the MOST TRUSTED FILIPINOS....what say you?

  23. GOV VI.

I m proud to be a Batangueno and even prouder to have you as our governor.. God bless you po.
