F.F.C. FOR THIS HOLY WEEKEND!

For this Holy Weekend, let’s all reflect on the sacrifices of our Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation with the inclusion of the “FFC” in our lives

Not just this weekend but every single day from now on for as long as we’re here in this world.

One ‘F’ is for forgiveness.

Forgiveness of ALL those who have wronged us. Directly or indirectly, mortal sin or not. Not only is it in accordance with the will of God but also our own little way of spreading peace and harmony among our fellowmen.

As I I had noted in an earlier blog, our Lord Jesus Christ pardoned a repentant thief who was crucified with him moments before he died. If He can forgive why can’t we?

Think about this: WHAT GOOD is there in NOT FORGIVING OTHERS?

Forgiving may not be easy in some cases. But we can if we’ll try. There is NOTHING BETTER than INNER PEACE, believe me. Wouldn’t you want to be forgiven if you offend or sin against anybody?

The second ‘F’ is for Faith, faith in God.

Trials WILL ALWAYS be a PART OF OUR LIVES until we die. Sometimes, it will be too difficult to readily understand and seem to be too heavy to bear.

But NEVER FORGET that everything has a reason. And whatever trial we go through, the ONLY GOAL we will find in the end is it only made us a BETTER and STRONGER person --  emotionally, psychologically, spiritually.

Find out for yourself. Not just from your parish priest but from your friends and relatives. And as we practice Forgiveness and strengthen our Faith, let’s not forget the ‘C’ – Charity.

Charity not just at home but to others.

Charity NEED NOT be always in CASH. Money isn’t the only problem we go through in life.

Every now and then, we all need emotional and moral support. Extending these to others is also a form of charity.  As well as personal assistance, like helping others solve a problem through your connections or expertise.

Even PRAYING for others is charity. Every help we can give, in whatever  shape, size or form, is charity. To those who will say that Forgiveness, Faith and Charity are easier said than done, I say what good will it do you if you won’t?

Advanced Happy Easter, everyone. Let’s make each week a Holy Week. 30
