AQUINO GOV'T LYING ON OIL PRICE HIKES!

The pronouncement by Budget Sec. Butch Abad that the Aquino Administration is eyeing more subsidies against steadily rising oil prices only strengthens suspicions that some people in Government are EARNING from the oil companies.

No less than Justice Sec. Leila de Lima herself revealed that the Arroyo administration froze oil price increases in 2009 through Executive Order (EO) 839.

This means the Government’s claim that it is helpless against the rise in oil prices in BULLSHIT, that it has been LYING or DECEIVING US all along.

If former President Gloria Macapagal-Arryo can do it, WHY CAN’T  President Noynoy? Like jueteng and jueteng lords, what makes the oil firms SOOO SACRED, SOOO UNTOUCHABLE to the Aquino Administration?

Especially now that the Department of Energy (DOE) has discovered that the 13th price increase imposed by oil companies last Tuesday were above the agency’s prescribed adjustments based on a similar formula used by local firms.

The DOE has even demanded an explanation from the oil companies.

Incidentally, whatever happened to that demand? Has the DOE scheduled any public hearing for it? Has it started going over the books of the oil firms?

Any company’s books ARE READILY AVAILABLE. A firm will only need extra time in presenting its books if it has SOMETHING TO HIDE or ALTER.

If the DOE demand for an explanation from the oil firms is serious and not just ‘pogi points,’ then it should have started going over the books of the oil firms by now and scheduled a hearing.

Anybody correct me if I’m wrong but I haven’t heard of any of the two.

And if the Aquino Administration will have the STOMACH, and the FACE, to ignore EO 339, then they had better first call De Lima a liar and have the Supreme Court declare that the EO is illegal.

Otherwise, refusal to issue a similar EO could only mean that some Government people ARE IN on the SKY-HIGH PROFITS of oil companies so these MUST NOT BE REDUCED even by a peso.

To this I’ll say, GET LOST AND GET A. LIFE!

Eleven of our friends on “Stop fighting over Marcos burial at Libingan ng mga Bayani”:

EDMOND DANTES

HILL ROBERTS

What about Borneo? Was he or wasn't he instrumental in giving up that island to the Malaysians?

BENITO MOLINO of Antipolo, Rizal

Let us stop oppressing and victimizing the people, especially those who already suffered long enough. STOP THIS MORO-MORO, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.... NEVER AGAIN.

ROLAND NABLO

Bakit si Marcos, hindi pa ilibing sa Libingan ng mga Bayani? Naglingkod naman siya sa bayan as a President. Si Ninoy, ano ang nagawa sa bayan at bakit ginawa nilang bayani?

JOE ALVARADO of Makati City

I agree. He could be somethin to some zealots but somethin he is not.  He did not sell any part of the country. In fact, he was even ready to go to war to defend  it.

ENRIQUE PALARCA REYES  of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Looking for proof ? Why don`t you ask the families of the victims of summary executions and involuntary disappearance, and the victims of human rights abuses during  Martial L;aw?

MERIT SALUD of Bloomfield, New Jersay, USA

How could the truth on a historical fact be divisive? And as ALWAYS, " dI bale tayong nagkakagulo sa tamang dahilan kaysa magsama ng tahimik sa maling rason ". We ought not to sweep this under the rug and hope that if will not smell again tomorrow. Ang liping mahilig sa pabukas-bukas, butas butas ang kagisgisnan.

ALBERTO LEE of Houston, Texas

I agree. Move on and stop wasting time on this 24-year-old subject matter.

CHEECHA FERRER

Yes. The fighting, the debates, the arguments on this issue must stop. It is very clear FM was a former soldier and a former president of our motherland and these already qualifiy him to be buried at LNMB.

BENJAMIN SAMONTE of Chicago, Illinois, USA

I had posted it before. Let's just leave this issue to the decision makers. Let's respect their decision and bow our heads in the name of reconciliation. Then we move on.

ANTON ILAGAN of Manila

Perhaps there is no fighting going on over Marcos’ burial at Libiingan but a healthy discussions and the Vice President was conducting a survey. Haven't heard yet of any fighting. 30
