PNOY PROVES HE'S A WEAK LEADER!

President Aquino has just shown us how WEAK he is as a leader.

He himself has revealed that he considers three Cabinet members as headaches. But he wouldn’t identify them without any justifiable reason.

When a man makes a claim, it’s his conviction of a person or an issue. But if you can’t, or won’t. stand up to it with names or the specifics of the matter at hand, you’re NOT MAN ENOUGH and should not have done it in the first place.

Furthermore, any unsubstantiated statement, or what is more popularly known today as blind item, is HEARSAY or rumor. A TRUE MAN NEVER engages in rumor mongering

If they’re a headache, then they should be REPLACED IMMEDIATELY. If Pnoy DOES NOT HAVE THE GUTS to fire them, then he’s a WEAKLING.

How then can we trust Pnoy to be TOUGH and DECISIVE in time of trouble if he doesn’t even have the nerve to dismiss the headaches among his Cabinet?

He’s the President, the big boss of the Cabinet. He can, and must, do anything necessary to provide good governance. That’s his job, his main job. Nobody can stop him from doing anything to ensure this.

But Pnoy would rather keep the three headaches, or incompetents, and PROTECT THEM by not revealing who they are. Which leads to the question “Why reveal them to the public in the first place?”

I can only see one possible reason why: It’s a CHEAP, JUVENILE attempt to indirectly justify the continued DROP in Pnoy’s ratings by pointing to headaches or incompetents in the Cabinet.

Never mind if it will be INSULTING to the rest of the Cabinet whom he did not exclude from the non-headaches (Pnoy excluded Budget Sec. Abad, the DPWH secretary and another one).

Why insulting? By not naming the three headaches, all the other Cabinet members are SUSPECTS.

Pnoy has just cast a cloud of doubt on the competence and credibility of the other Cabinet members. Everybody is a headache, including the efficient ones, until Pnoy identifies the real culprits.

Which is GROSSLY UNFAIR to Cabinet members doing a good job.

This is what Cabinet members should SERIOUSLY CONSIDER. This will also be a good test on who among them understands the true meaning of self-respect.

Fifteen of our friends on “If we won’t fight for the Spratlys…”:

JUAN DELA CRUZ

if we won't fight for it, then let's just make it official na kanila na. Gawin narin na lang nating parang Sabah. Pinamigay lang!!

ANGEL FLORENDO of Doha, Qatar

Kahit gusto nating ipaglaban, paano kung mismong nasa pwesto takot lumaban?

ARTHUR LIMSIACO of Nagoya-shi, Aichi, Japan

No guts, no glory!

KAMAUT LONGBABILON of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Of course, you could just GIVE the Spratlys to your neighbor China. But it would be squandering it to an atheist!!

BENJAMIN SAMONTE of Chicago, Illinois, USA

The islands we now occupy are within our legal boundary sanctioned by the UN 200-mile limit aside from the claim filed by Tomas Cloma. We should fight to the end for our right. The way I look at it, war won't happen. China is aware of her annihilation by the US if she goes to war. US national interest in Spratly is the "black gold" (oil and gas). The SPRATLYS is projected to be the center source of oil in the future. Whoever controls it will become a superpower.

MERIT SALUD of Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA

Boyet, it would have been an act of great statesmanship on the part of the Philippines if we looked dispassionately on the suggestion of Sen. Recto to help China at this time of her people's distress. Let it not be said that the Philippines was so filled with hurt for China’s highhanded manner in dealing with the conflict on Spratly that the Philippines was unmindful of the cry of the Chinese for help.

MANUEL DUMAGCO of Manila

RAYMOND LAU of Quezon City

Good direction. Ask as much as you need. Avoid being between the two most powerful nations in the world to become a puppet of one of them.

EDGAR GONZALES of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

We will fight for the Spratly Islands.

TACIO SANTOS

So. isang araw Chinese na ang mayari ng Pinas at tayo’y alipin nila kagaya ng ginawa ng Espanya. Ganoon ba ang gusto nilang mangyari?i

ESPERLITA GARCIA of Gonzaga, Cagayan

Hindi naman pala magke-claim ang China, sir, so close na issue on

LIZA TREMOCHA

What's the real score sa government regarding Spratly?

ANNE DE BRETAGNE

I just read the article. I agree with you.

Eight of our friends on “Floods, floods, floods!” :

JAWORSKI YABES of Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija

Why do they always insist on making the lowlands below sea level and agriculture lands for housing and resetlement? Don’t they conduct a geological survey test before housing is constructed?

BOY NERI of Irvine, California

Reminds me of the song “Like a circle in a spiral...never ending nor beginning on an ever spinning wheel!

CHEECHA FERRER

It’s everywhere! And it's getting worse as time goes by.

LUIS CUERVO of Lipa City, Batangas

Build islands on the lake, filled with drenched materials from mining (sites). Dig deep to fill up man-made islands.

ROBERT CLIVE KOOMANS of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Manila again! Just after we had the worst flood in history in Brisbane costing billions of dollars. A flood is a flood is a flood!!!

RONALD CARPIO of Makati

YOLANDA HERRING of Coffs Harbour, New South Wales

Kailangan kumilos na ang mga nakaupo sa gobyerno/ Magpagawa nang proper drainage susyem. Kawawa naman ang mga kababayan natin.

KHAYE-C GENE AROA of Caloocan City

Kasama na kami diyan!

Four of our friends on “Alarming reaction to drop in Pnoy’s fame!”

EDGARDO BUENAVENTURA of Tuguegarao, Cagayan

Surveys are also products that can be bought. However, PNoy should focus on programs with daily impacts in countering poverty and (focusing on) job creation. Let the information agencies do their jobs.

ROMEO SESBRENO of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada

It's all about serving the public interest to the best of your ability within the law.. Do the right thing! You could be rotten as hell and still be popular. Know your job, and just be a good leader. Period!!

SERGIO NEPOMUCENO

The presidency is not about popularity. A leader is just like a referee. Once he blows his whistle, he antagonizes one side and pleases the other. You can never be all popular in politics. The others behind the fence are just lurking for every mistake. Popularity surveys are money-making ventures. I suggest that they make surveys on progress in programs being implemented by the government.

ISAGANI MACARAIG of San Pascual, Batangas

The 74% sat. rate was never true in the first place. Only 40% of the population voted for P-noy so it should be around that percentage unless you interviewed a potentially skewed population. Majority off those who voted for P-noy are the poor who were forced by their local leaders. 30
